SETH GORDON, LOS ANGELES
"Get off your ass" and make a movie has not been a problem for filmmaker Seth Gordon, a two year veteran of Group 101 films Los Angeles. Most recently directing the upcoming documentary The King of Kong. Check out how making a movie a month helped get him into gear. Rachel Tejada, co-founder of Group101 Films, chatted with Seth about his new project.

Co-founder of Group101Films, Jeff Consiglio recently edited the documentary WARDANCE, directed by Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature in 2008. More here..

Back in LA from a trip to the east coast, co-founder of Group101LA Rachel Tejada spent some time in an run-down abandon mill directing the Break Away video for the Boston street punk band, The UNSEEN . Check it out at Hellcat Records.

Former member of Group101LA, Syed now runs our chapter in Karachi, Pakistan. Not long ago he won an award for one of his Group101 films. We spoke with him recently.

Co-founder of Group101LA, Rachel took off on the road with RANCID for many months, filming their every move and creating a killer DVD of the experience. Maureen Timpa Hendricks chatted with Rachel over pancakes one recent morning.

THE SHOOT OUT, BOULDER COLORADO
Michael Conti, founder of Group101_Colorado, brings the Australian-based 24 hour film festival to the States and gets the folks in Boulder to shoot and complete a short film between 9pm Friday and 9pm Saturday. Learn more about it here.

LA SHORTS FEST
Aaron, Maureen, Rachel, Jeff and mentor Tony Mark held a panel discussion at LA Shorts fest on September 8, 2005 at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. The crew spoke about how to become insanely productive in filmmaking, where to get your short films seen and the fine art of puppetry. Dina was off launching a New York chapter of Group101Spots, so in her absence we revealed all of her personal secrets to the audience.

A four year Group101 veteran, Tony Mark is now one of our many invaluable mentors. He's also directed two feature films and is ramping up on his third - rumor has it it's a vampire flick. Let the blood roll. Learn more about Tony here.

VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL FILM FESTIVAL
Vidfest
invited one founding member of Group101Films to their annual festival in Vancouver in June, and Jeff Consiglio won the coin toss. Jeff participated in a panel discussion on the future of digital media, ate lots of oysters and vowed to relocate to the beautiful Vancouver as soon as he buys a warm enough coat. Cory Lussier, founder of Group101 Winnipeg, was on hand as well with plans to start a Vancouver chapter.

COURTNEY JONES, LOS ANGELES
Three years ago Courtney was sweating over a short film per month, then he went on to make his first feature film with some guys named Ted Danson and Henry Winkler.
